🎉 A Heartfelt Congratulations to Tarrazzia Martin! 🎉

Virginia LULAC is honored and thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of one of our most inspiring leaders, Tarrazzia Martin. She has been recognized as a Top Afro-Latina by TopLatinosUS, an honor that highlights her powerful journey of breaking barriers and leading with fearless dedication. https://toplatinos.us/tarrazzia-martin-top-latino/

In addition, Tarrazzia has been nominated for the prestigious 2026 Prince William Living Influential Women Awards — a testament to her tireless leadership in civic engagement, coalition building, and economic empowerment across Greater Prince William. We are immensely proud of these accomplishments, which are among many in her remarkable career, and we celebrate her for representing our community with excellence, integrity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to public service. https://princewilliamliving.com/tarrazzia-martin-building-civic-power-unity-and-opportunity-in-prince-william/#prettyPhoto

As Deputy State Director of the Virginia League of United Latin American Citizens (VALULAC), Tarrazzia connects community voices across neighborhoods, counties, and the Commonwealth to broader civic, educational, and economic opportunity efforts that strengthen Latino families and promote inclusive participation at every level of civic life. Among her many accomplishments is the establishment of a community resource hotline that connects families with local services and support when they need it most.

A devoted resident of Dale City, Tarrazzia also serves as Chair of the Prince William County Latino Caucus, where her leadership has transformed the county’s rapidly growing Latino population into a powerful force for sustained and meaningful civic engagement. Through her work, the Latino community’s voice has gained visibility and momentum, and participation in civic events and voter engagement has flourished.

Her influence expands far beyond local engagement. Tarrazzia has built bridges across communities, founded and led cross-community coalitions such as the Black–Brown Coalition, and fostered dialogue, trust, and collaborative action that strengthens relationships and brings people together to address shared challenges and shared opportunities. Her leadership extends into workforce development, mentorship, and advocacy — especially for young women and emerging leaders — creating pathways for others to grow, lead, and thrive.

✨ Why She Leads

Tarrazzia leads because she believes leadership is an act of responsibility — not recognition. Her commitment to public service is rooted in the understanding that civic engagement directly shapes the safety, education, economic mobility, and opportunity available to families.

As a mother, mentor, and community advocate, she knows that policy is personal. The decisions made in institutions and chambers of power impact real households, real classrooms, and real neighborhoods. She leads with the awareness that the future we build today will determine the opportunities available to the next generation.

She leads to ensure that communities who have historically been overlooked are centered. She leads to create access where doors were once closed. She leads because she believes democracy is strongest when every voice is heard and every neighbor feels seen.

🌿 Leadership, Community, and Love

For Tarrazzia, leadership is grounded in love — love for community, love for justice, and love for the generations who will inherit the future we build today. She believes strong communities are not formed by division, but by collaboration. Not by fear, but by courage. Not by exclusion, but by inclusion.

Her work reflects a values-driven approach: empathy in action, accountability in leadership, and unity in purpose. Whether organizing coalitions, mentoring emerging leaders, or connecting families to resources through organizations such as the New Utopia International Foundation, she leads with compassion and clarity — demonstrating that sustainable civic power is built through trust, respect, and collective care.

🌟 We are incredibly proud of Tarrazzia Martin — not only for the honors she is receiving today, but for the decades of service and impact that define her journey. Her work exemplifies leadership that uplifts individuals, strengthens communities, and inspires others to pursue meaningful, inclusive engagement.

📣 Please join us in celebrating Tarrazzia’s remarkable accomplishments and her continued dedication to building a more equitable, connected, and empowered Virginia.
